FAQs
Rooted in Questions, Grounded in Community
Welcome to the RootED FAQ — a space for clarity, transparency, and connection. If you don’t see your question here, please reach out! This is a living, breathing conversation.
Who runs RootED?
RootED is the work of Kaitlin Khubyar (Ms. K) — educator, advocate, and someone deeply committed to equity, justice, and transformative learning and healing. This space is a reflection of years of experience, research, and on-the-ground work in education and community building. While this space is rooted in my personal journey, it has always grown in conversation with a wider ecosystem of brilliant minds, trusted collaborators, and beloved community.
I don’t walk this path alone — and I wouldn’t want to. RootED exists in relationship. I’m lucky to be part of a circle of educators, artists, organizers, and dreamers who tap me (and each other) on the shoulder when a meaningful opportunity arises. While they may not hold official titles here, their presence, influence, and co-dreaming are woven into the fabric of this work. RootED reflects not just me, but the collective wisdom that surrounds me. I will always bring one (or more!) of these incredible people to the table if what is asked of RootED is their expertise as we collaborate deeper. Consider RootED your catalyst to a constellation of connection.
It’s less about who runs RootED, and more about how we root together.
What is the purpose of this site?
RootED is a hub for educators, organizers, collaborators, collectives, and anyone looking to engage deeper with anti-racist, culturally responsive, and justice-centred learning. Absolutely. Your personal information will never be shared, sold, or used beyond its intended purpose. Please see the Privacy Policy for more details.

Why “RootED”?
Because real change isn’t surface-level. It takes deep roots, intentional growth, and a commitment to tending the soil — not just the branches. Education and community spaces should be transformative, not transactional.
How can I support this work?
Engage with the content. Share it with those who need it. Implement the ideas in your own spaces. And most importantly, commit to the work — not just in words, but in action.
